The famous Russian writer Alexei Ivanovich Svirsky (1865–1942) was born in a poor family. At twelve years, he remained a round orphan and wandered around for a long time, wandered throughout Russia, visited Persia and Turkey, interrupted by random earnings.
The future writer did not study at school, but had talent and observation, and these qualities allowed He change his life. In 1892, he printed the first poem in the newspaper and has been published constantly since then. Svirsky wrote about twenty books. The story “Ryzhik” addressed to adolescents is one of the most touching works of the author.
The book is illustrated by the expressive drawings of the modern artist Elizabeth Vedina.
