The collection included three novels by the Soviet writer Lyubov Voronkova: “Girl from the city”, “The village of Gorodishche” and “Geese-Swans”. The fate of the main characters of stories develop differently: Valentine, a girl from the city, lost her parents during the war, and she was sheltered by the village woman Daria; Children, led by Grunya, with all their might try to help their parents restore their beloved village of Gorodishche; Anisk, a girl with a big heart and an open soul, remains not understood by her peers and only in nature puts on an outlet. It is difficult for everyone to bear their burden, but they are helped by cohesion, kindness and internal resistance to cope with the blows of fate.
