Boris Vasilievich Poor - a Soviet writer, a veteran of the Great Patriotic War, held a teacher at the Literary Institute, where he conducted seminars at the highest literary courses (among his students there are many famous writers, for example, Genghis Aitmatov). The novel “Girls”, translated into fifteen foreign languages ​​and formed the basis of the picture of the same name, brought the glory of Boris to the poor. Each in Russia is well familiar with the film "Girls", shot in 1961 by director Yuri Chulyukin with Nadezhda Rumyantseva in the title role.

The fun comedy of love in the village of Limorta, lost in the Urals in the Urals, not only conquered spectators throughout the Soviet Union, but also received several prestigious prizes at foreign film festivals. The story “Girls”, however, is largely different from the famous picture: the characters of the heroes are more disclosed deeper, the harsh life in the distant village is shown much more realistic, and even in the plot there are significant differences.
