Go and do not sin. Paris for three hours. Stars above the swamp. Pikul V.S.
Three novels included in the book are interconnected only by the time of action - the 19th century. The first is “Go and not sin” - a short novel, which is based on the sensational case of the murder of the Simferopol bourgeois Olga Pale of his lover. The second is “Paris for three hours” - about the impudent conspiracy of the French General Male, who tried to overthrow the imperial power in Paris in 1812 after the defeat of the Napoleonic army in Russia. The third-“stars over the swamp” is a reliable story about the life of political exiles (end of the 1860s) in wild polar wilderness: in the city of Pinega, on the border with the tundra, where glimpses of new relations between people suddenly flare up.
