This series is good for the fact that it played a true main idea: Lavrenty’s NKVD knew how to know Belief to people, because they were able to believe the People's Commissar himself. The history of the group of Major Shelestov is similar to the real history of the large agent Abwehr, the former headquarters captain of the tsarist army Nelidov, who fell into the Lubyanka in September 1939. More likely, the adventures of Maxim Shelestov and his comrades described in this novel look like the background of Nelidov’s story.
