God and the state. Confession. Bakunin M.A.
Mikhail Alexandrovich Bakunin (1814-1876)-Russian philosopher, publicist, one of the ideologists of anarchism and populism.
“Confession”, addressed to the Russian Emperor Nicholas I, was written by Bakunin in the Peter and Paul Fortress. The manuscript with the king’s hand -handed notes was found in the Archive of the Third Branch and was first printed only in 1921. In this work, Bakunin described his life and participation in the revolutionary movement, and also outlined his own view of it, the Slavic question and the arrangement of Russia.
The collection also includes the unfinished Bakunin manuscript “God and the state”, in which he criticizes Christianity and the technocratic movement with a materialistic, anarchist and individualistic point of view that flourishes at that time.
