Pushkin’s time-“A quarter of a century”, calculated by Pushkin himself from the date of the foundation of the Tsarskoye Selo Lyceum (1811), the 1810–1830s-the “Golden Age” of Russian poetry. He received his name not eloquence for the sake of eloquence: it was the “golden age” in antiquity that the departed era of beauty, goodness and justice, the era of lost paradise was called. Indeed, the art of the nineteenth century incorporated the most beautiful, powerful, unique features of Russian culture. This era can be called the paradise of the Russian soul, lost, but again gained in the poems of the poets of the Pushkin era.
The collection included the lyrics of the authors who determined the appearance of the "Golden Age" of Russian poetry: V. Zhukovsky, K. Batyushkov, D. Davydov, P. Vyazemsky, A. Pushkin, A. Delviga, V. Kuchelbeker, E. Baratynsky, A. Griboedov and others.
