Nikolai Pavlovich Zadornov (1909–1992) is a famous Soviet writer, the author of several novels dedicated to the development of Russian settlers of Siberia and the Far East. The novel "Golden Figure" (1969) continues his famous dilogy "Amur-Batyushka". Restless, dangerous, complete difficulties and passions - this appears the life of prospectors at the gold mine in the Amur Region. The reader learns that it fell to the share of the characters already known to him (Yegor Kuznetsov, Duni and Ilya of the Mormotovs, Timokhi Silin), he will get acquainted with new colorful personalities.
