In the world of a near future, in which there are self -governing cars, speaking furniture and basic income for everyone, the narrator lives - a successful author of “Bess -Mozhozhny Thrillers”. He didn’t go very well: he just lost his elderly mother, and the publisher does not like his last book. When an old friend calls him and invites him on a trip, he agrees without hesitation. So the heroes go in search of atonement and oblivion, and mocking robots and talkative unmanned cars help them in this.
