Prince Alexander Nevsky is one of the most outstanding people of our Fatherland. The commander, who did not suffer a single defeat on the battlefield, he proved himself as a wise and cautious politician who managed to protect Rus' at the most difficult, turning point in its story, coincided with the years of his Novgorod and then Vladimir reign.

The author tried to collect in the book, if possible, all evidence of sources regarding the personality of Prince Alexander Yaroslavich and his policy pursued, thus building a detailed chronicle of forty -four years of earthly life of the Grand Duke. It was the genuine documents of the era that formed the basis of the narrative. Much attention is also paid to the history of the posthumous glorification of the prince, who eventually turned into one of the main heavenly patrons of Russia.
