The book of the Austrian writer Mira Lobe included two fairy tales in the remarkable translation of Lilianna Lungina - “Grandmother on the Apple tree” and “As it was with the furnat”.

Both stories talk about the world of children's fantasies, about love for animals, about warm family relationships. If you are lonely, then there will always be an apple grandmother, with whom you can enjoy the ice cream and sweets, ride on carousels and horses and from which you will never hear the forbidden word: "You can’t."

She is waiting for you on an apple tree for all kinds of adventures.

About the author: Mira Lobe (1913–1990) Austrian writer, popular not only in her homeland, but also far beyond its borders. Her wonderful poems, novels and fairy tales make young readers smile and be sad, empathize with the main characters, teach to be fair and honest. For a contribution to children's literature, the writer was awarded the Austrian State Prize and the Vienna City Prize.
