GHIBLI - the legendary Japanese animated studio, the birthplace of such anime as Princess Monockoke, “Doned Ghosts” and “Walking Castle”, which during the life of their creator - the great Hayao Miyazaki - became the classic of animated cinema.

But what happens inside the studio? How are films created? And most importantly, who helps them find world fame? Steve Alpert is a person who has answers.

For 15 years, Steve Alpert was the senior executive director Ghibli. The only Gijin (foreigner) in the “very traditional” Japanese company, Alpert was responsible for international sales and worked closely with Miyazaki and Tosio Suzuki - the producer of almost all the studio films.
