writer, translator, folklorist, playwright and literary critic Tamara Grigoryevna Gabbe (1903-1960) created a retelling for children of the extraordinary adventures of Lemuel Gulliver in the fantastic country of Lilipathy and in the amazing country of giants - Brobdingneg. She adapted the complex satirical, written on the anger of the day, the books of the Anglo-Irish writer Jonathan Swift (1667-1745). And now schoolchildren can begin acquaintance with the first of his four works. The book is published with unique drawings of the French artist Jean Granville (1803-1847).
