Habitat. Neznosov D.D.
Denis Knoznosov’s novel “Certificates of Habitat” is a polyphonic reflection on disaster and totalitarianism. The choir of voices woven from monologues, streams of consciousness, newsreels and propaganda rollers records the history of destruction. Real phenomena are brought to the limit, the conflict is happening with the usual logic. The world in the catastrophe situation appears to be a fragmented, and the reader has to independently collect the picture of the whole.
In the text there are real characters-film director-documentary Ivan, artists Gerhard and Klein, the aging actor Baster K. and designer of furniture Vegner. But his main matter is the polylogue of the four nameless, who were locked up, deprived of the opportunity to ever leave their shelter.
