Happy Prince: Collection of fairy tales. Volume 1
Tales play a special role in human life. Usually, parents read them aloud at an early age, when vivid impressions are deeply cut into the child’s memory. Children's psychology is holistic, children perceive the world around him directly, they are unable to analyze. Children are moral creatures, each child intuitively strives for ideal, beauty, justice, children want to see the ways of implementing the ideal. It is very important to show artistic means that good defeats evil, which in its essence is ugly and powerless, and good is noble and beautiful. His “environment” has a very great influence on the perception of a fairy -tale work - if a fairy tale is adjacent to a good fairy tale with a clear moral content, in which good and evil are mixed, there is no certain moral position, then the perception of the impeccable work fades, and the acuteness of the beneficial effect on the child is lost.
The same author may have works that are strikingly different from each other in their moral content. For example, along with such impeccable works of the Great Danish storyteller G. X. Andersen as “Snow Queen”, “Wild Swans”, a rather popular, of course, talented fairy tale “Fire” is adjacent. But if you look at it from a moral point of view, then it does not withstand any criticism. The old woman promised the soldier wealth, he received it. She kept her promise, and he killed her! Further, he fell in love with the princess, and on his orders the magic dogs tore off the king and queen, the father and mother of his bride, his future father -in -law and mother -in -law. In modern language, he simply cleared his way to the throne. Is it possible to put such a character as an example? At the same time, a number of other works are an exceptionally talented sermon of high moral qualities. Moreover, such works are interesting and useful not only for children, but also for adults, and sometimes sound surprisingly modern. Typically, collections of fairy tales are formed according to the national or author’s principle, for example, “Russian folk tales” or “Tales” by Pushkin. But the principle of selection for our collection is precisely the moral orientation of fabulous works. The proposed collection includes fairy tales, united by their clear moral content, belonging to the pen of different authors, domestic and foreign, living long and relatively recently.
