A boy named Fitil always lived in an orphaned shelter at a dark and terrible match factory, tirelessly working for the greedy old woman of the Bogge. He only dreamed of an escape, until one day the forty dropped something impossible and magical at his feet - a tiny baby in a trunks similar to a woker, skillfully cut out of wood.

When he breaks at midnight, the wick will visit the elves, miniature forest defenders. Grateful for the kindness shown to their stolen child, they offer him the chance of his whole life - to escape and start with them a new life in the wild...
