Harmous recluse. The steps of hell. Chigrin L.A.
The work of a native of Belarus Leonid Chigrin (b. 1942) is entirely connected with Central Asia, its history and culture. His numerous historical novels with detective plots have long been loved by residents of recent Soviet republics who read in Russian, translated into many foreign languages, but in fact in Russia, they know less. Not only Tajikistan is described in Chigrin’s books: from the medieval Chinese Admiral Zhanhe to Stirlitz - anyone can become his hero. In the first novel, the reader will meet Rasputin, Nicholas II, the famous scammers of Manusevich-Manuilov, and he will get acquainted with the financial genius from Khatichepovka, Efraim Wolf, whom fate will once lead to Yakov Sverdlov’s office. It does not play the role that the fate of many of these heroes was different in life - the book is sometimes richer than life. The second novel is a detective, whose action takes place in an almost modern Dushanbe, in Dubai. Both novels are united by the theme of the torment of a woman imprisoned in the harem of the eastern despot.
