The world in which fifteen -year -old Andrei lives is similar to ours. Only instead of Peter, Queen Sophia ascended to the throne: her magical abilities were stronger than that of her brother. And with her, the crows of the Inquisition seized the power. Therefore, the city, embedded on the Neva, is called Sofiensrad, and its symbol (copper horseman) is a monument to Sofya. There is a legend that the sculptor placed an invisible snake under the hooves of the horse, and the one who can see it will turn back the time. Andrei could only dream of magic, but, passing by the monument, he suddenly stumbled upon the gaze and cold silver eyes of the snakes, and now it would not be possible to run away from fate...
