Elena (Eleanor) Henrykhovna Guro (1877 - 1913) - the Russian poet of the Silver Age, prose writer and artist. She created in the transitional time when the Russian literary symbolism was tending to sunset and was the search for new ways in art. Many contemporaries appreciated her poems and especially prose, but perhaps she did not become as popular as Khlebnikov, twisted, Mayakovsky, because she passed away before futurism became mainstream.

E. Guro's books They consist of fragmented, sustained in a certain emotional vein of excerpts. These disparate miniature stories with an independent plot, often with a difficultly defined genre in some elusive way, are connected in unity and are peculiar bricks from which the writer builds a book. On her pages is the image of a poet performed by compassionate love for all living things. In her diary, she writes that the work should sound “the voice of inexhaustible love”, as if “the author has become the mother of all the things and loves their maternal and proud love,” and the poet should strive “at least partially distract through the ideas of creativity” from “difficult and hard. Ways of suffering and illness. ”

The publication includes poetry and prose from the books“ Sharmunkka ”(1909) and“ Autumn Dream ”(1911), published during the life of E. Guru, the most famous and perhaps the most The perfect and integral, already posthumously book “Heavenly Camel” (1914), poems printed in different years in various publications, as well as reproductions of the author’s works. The texts are printed with the preservation of the features of the author’s punctuation.
