Hellenic poets

Ancient Greece - the cradle of European civilization, the ideas and images of Hellenic culture is imbued with the whole history of art. Reading today ancient Greek poetry, we can only be amazed at harmony and beauty, the clarity of thought, and the consonance of our day. This collection does not claim to be completed, at the same time, it presented works that demonstrate the genre and thematic diversity of ancient poetry - from homer hymns dedicated to the gods, from poems based on mythological plots to subjective experiences of an individual. Hesiod, Semonid of the Amorgos, mimnerm, Xenofan, Safo and Anacreon - these and other names of Hellenic poets, whose poems were included in the collection, are inscribed in the history of world literature.
