A few years have passed since the release of the first edition of Hemostasis in Clinical Practice, which required a serious update and addition to the material.
The book presents the basics of the physiology of the hemostasis system and laboratory diagnostics, the history of the development of anticoagulants and antiplatelet agents, the features of their use, including taking into account genetic factors. The emphasis was on the tactics of patients after operations of revascularization of the myocardium or having heart valves prostheses. The algorithms for the correction of antitrombotic therapy are presented if the patients are performed by invasive interventions. Separate chapters are devoted to anticoagulant therapy in patients with atrial fibrillation and venous thrombosis, local hemostatic drugs.
