After falling the corolla, a fruit is formed on the peduncle-a multi-seeded box, with heart-shaped dark seeds. Triple hibiscus has antibiotic properties against golden staphylococcus. Leaves, roots, flowers and seeds are widely used in Chinese medicine. A decoction of roots and leaves is used as soft and expectorant. The decoction of leaves has a diaphoretic and diuretic properties. The infusion of flowers is used for itching and skin dermatitis. The plant is very decorative and perfect for the design of flower beds, a slave and garden fences.
