Histoires Pour Rire. Funny stories. In French. Grade 9-11
The collection “Funny Stories” presents the reader with a variety of faces of the French humorous tradition, from the household and historical jokes to the ironic works of famous philosophers and fragments of classical literature (Voltaire, F. Rabelais, Moliere, A. Dode, etc.). The texts are built on elementary grammatical material, which addresses the book to both high school students and adults starting to study the French language. The dictionary contains the majority of words found in the texts, with the exception of borrowings that are understandable to the Russian reader and without translation (Centime, Litre, Critique, etc.).
For multi -valued words, only meanings found in the book are indicated. In the native notes, a translation of idioms and the most complex grammatical constructions are given. The book is intended for independent reading, but can also be used in the classroom in the French language.
