History of Russian Goverment. Karamzin N.M.

The history of the Russian state is significant historical work, a work that has become a large phenomenon in Russian art prose. Its author, an outstanding Russian writer, historian and public campaist Nikolai Mikhailovich Karamzin (1766–1826). In 1803, by the decree of Emperor Alexander I Karamzin, he was awarded to the post of historiographer and until the end of his life was engaged in the writing of the History of the Russian State, which became the main difficulty in his life and a whole phenomenon in Russian history.

The original, richly illustrated edition of the elected from the "History of the Russian State" N. M. Karamzin, covering the period from the VI to the beginning of the 16th century. Created in the 19th century, this work still is of interest to both specialists and a wide range of readers.
