Hitopadesh. Collection of good instructions. Narayana
“Good instruction”, in the Sanskrit “Hitopadesh”, belongs to the category of didactic monuments of ancient Indian literature. Its purpose is to teach everyday wisdom. The first part of this work is brief poetic sayings designed for memorization by heart; Many of them still live in the everyday life of the Indians. The second part of the Hitopadeshi is the moralizing fables, as if embedded in one another, so each fable is told by the face acting in another fable. From VI to XIV centuries. Unfortunately, the story, unfortunately, did not save any information about the life of Narayana. But in the introduction to this essay, Narayan writes: “If you read this“ good instruction ”, then it will give you experience in literary expressions, will familiarize yourself with the variety of meanings of words in various cases and teach everyday wisdom.”
The publication is intended For all those who go through spiritual development and are interested in the history, philosophy and folklore of India.
