Hokusai

Today, the name of the Japanese artist Katsusik Hokusay is probably known all over the world. Hokusai is one of the leading masters of color engraving on the tree of the Edo period (Tokugawa 1603–1868) and one of the most famous artists of Japan. He is well known in Europe, Russia, they write a lot about him, study and study his works, regularly conduct exhibitions of his works in different countries, and documentary films are shot about his work. Hokusai was one of those masters with whom the opening of Japanese art began as an independent art world, one of the first who became known in the West. Hokusai's legacy is huge. He lived a long life, almost 90 years, and during this time he created a huge number of works.
