“Hot Snow” is a novel, the plot of which is based on real events that occurred in December 1942, when our soldiers heroically managed to restrain the blow of the tank divisions of Field Marshal Manstein. The battle described in the novel decided the outcome of the entire Stalingrad battle.

In 2013, the novel was included in the list of “100 books”, recommended to schoolchildren by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation for independent reading. This illustrated edition of Yuri Vasilyevich Bondarev is timed to the 80th anniversary of the events of that winter.
