Hot water music. Bukovsky Ch.
Charles Bukovsky - a cult American writer of the 20th century, whose European popularity has always overtook the American popularity (in Germany one, the lifetime circulation of his books exceeded two million), the author of more than forty books, including novels, poems, essays and stories. Despite the sometimes shocking naturalism, its texts are full of lyricalness, even a kind of sentimentality. Bukovski is rightfully considered a short form master, and the only collection of stories “Hot Water Music” in his late work is a vivid confirmation of this: bringing his signature possession of a word to incredible perfection, Bukovsky again conducts his lyrical hero - a womanizer and a drunkard, an explicit alter of the author of the author - in all circles of modern hell.
