“The House of the Rebbe” (“Beit Rabbi”) is the most important of research on the initial stage of the history of the Khabad movement. The author of the book r. Chaim-Meir Gelman (1855–1927), Hasid, a native of Lepel, worked on it for fourteen years. In the center of his story - biographies of the first leaders of the Khabada; The first part of the book is devoted to the life and activity of the Rebbe Schneura-Zalman from Lyad; The second is his son, Rebbe Dov Bero from Lyubavich. For the first time, the book “The House of the Rebbe” was published in Berdichev in 1902. The publication was equipped with additional notes, a name pointer and other reference materials. Numerous letters of the Rebbe, which were first published precisely in the book “The House of the Rebbe”, are of separate value - and now we have the opportunity to read them in Russian.
