How it is done. Topics, techniques, labyrinths of clutch. Zholkovsky A.K.
How are the poetics and pragmatist of the anti -Stalinist epigram of Mandelstam? What can the analysis of toponymy in the story of the Babel Street Dante can tell? What disorders of the language norm are found in Russian classics and what is their role in the literary text? The book of Alexander Zholkovsky was compiled by 18 articles of recent years that were not part of previous collections, but which are a natural continuation of his research project - an analysis of the structure of literary works as part of the poetics of expressiveness, developed in collaboration with Yuri Shcheglov.
The title of the book refers to the program of Russian formalists (“How Gogol’s Overcoat is made,“ How the Don Quixote is made ”), and the subtitle-the subtitle-to the Tolstoy metaphor of the artistic structure (“ Anna Karenina ”-“ Labyrinth of clutch ”) and its translation into the language of scientific poetics (themes, techniques of expressiveness). The articles included in the book combine attention to theoretical tools of analysis with detailed analysis of specific texts. The first section is dedicated to the verses (Pushkin, A.K. Tolstoy, Mandelstam, Pasternak, Okudzhava, Yevtushenko), the second - prose (Chekhov, Bunin, Babel, Zoshchenko, Kaverin, Iskander, Trifonova), the third - the motive repertoire of literature.
