Russian writer Sergei Timofeevich Aksakov is known as the author of the wonderful fairy tale “The Scarlet Flower”, and as a memoirist and as the author of an autobiographical trilogy about the life of the Russian noble family. But this book includes his stories about hunting and fishing, which many Russian writers were fond of in the 19th century. Hunting and fishing allow a person to feel his unity with nature. It was an important discovery of S.T. Aksakov-writer, and all other authors freely or involuntarily followed him.
