Hunting for the church. Irtenina N.V.
1937. The beginning of a large terror. One of its main reasons is the growing discontent of the population with the Soviet system. The “fists”, “churchmen”, representatives of other “class of alien” classes, allegedly preparing anti -Soviet conspiracies and armed undergrounds for overthrowing the authorities, were guilty of counter -revolution. Based on documentary materials, the author reveals the terror mechanism: how this deadly machine worked, how people got into its millstone, who and for what was arrested and shot, how interrogations were carried out, how believers, getting into prisons, became martyrs for faith...
The action takes place in Murom, where at that time many representatives of the disgraced clergy and monks from closed monasteries were referred. In the center of the story, the history of the riot of high school students against the Stalin dictatorship and the fate of the priest Alexei Aristarkhov, the “appointed” NKVD by the head of this anti-Soviet youth underground.
