Yuri Olesha (1899–1960) entered Russian literature early and brightly. At the time of his youth, the writer participated in Odessa poetic almanacs, in the early 1920s he moved to Moscow, where, together with I. Ilf, V. Kataev, M. Bulgakov, he worked in the Gudok newspaper, wrote poetic feuilletons, released several collections of poems. However, true recognition came to Olesha-prose.
