None of the many literary works of antiquity had such a strong influence on the further development of world culture as the immortal poems of Homer's Iliad and Odyssey. The centuries passed, however, the attractive power of the poems of the legendary epic poet of ancient Greece is inexorable. The attractiveness of the Homeric poems, not only in the fact that their author introduces us into a world, separated from the present for tens of centuries and still unusually real thanks to the genius of the poet, who retained the beat of modern life in his poems. The immortality of Homer is that in his ingenious creations, inexhaustible reserves of universal enduring values ​​- reason, goodness and beauty are contained.
