Twenty -two stories in the collection "Imaginal Life" by the French writer and poet of the 19th century. Marseille Shvoba became one of the first works in the world in the genre of biographical science fiction. In them, the run, using known facts, presents the reader with a free interpretation of motives that move his characters. The text is given in the translation of L. D. Ryndina. The biography is preceded by the essay and artistic critic of Reme de Gurmon.

The publication is decorated with color drawings and letters of the French artist Georges Barbier.
