Lyubov Fedorovna Voronkova (1906–1976) - a classic of Russian literature, the author of many novels and stories, which read more than one generation of readers of all ages. The writer brought special fame to her historical works, primarily books about the life of Alexander the Great: the novels “Son of Zeus” and “In the depths”, perhaps one of the most striking biographies of the great commander, the destroyer of the cities and the conqueror of the lands who proclaimed himself the son of God.

The novel “In the Depths of the Century” tells about the grandiose campaigns and battles of Alexander the Great, about his love for the young Princess Roxanne and the birth and death of the vast Macedonian empire. The novel is accompanied by classic illustrations of the famous Soviet graphic artist Igor Ilyinsky.
