Louise May Olcott is an American writer, the author of the famous novel “Little Women”, who brought her the world glory and love of readers. Until now, the book remains one of the most significant works of American literature. In his late novel “In the Lilac Garden” (1878), Olcott tells the story of a twelve -year -old boy named Ben and his faithful dog Sancho, who fled from the circus and after long wandering found a new house in a friendly, cheerful family. As in other books by Olcott, little heroes will have to overcome many difficulties, learn patience and forgiveness, and in this they will help them sincere love, friendship, courage and faith.
In this edition, the novel is presented in the translation of Anton Ivanov and Anna Ustinova.
