The vast majority of soldiers of the Great Patriotic War are not tankers and pilots, but infantrymen, and they died much more often than representatives of other branches of troops. It was the ordinary fighters and junior commanders of the Red Army carried the main burden of war on their shoulders and stormed Berlin.
