Infectious diseases

This textbook is developed in accordance with the curricula of the Federal State Educational Standard (Federal State Educational Standard) of the Russian Federation. The material of the textbook is systematized, corresponds to the modern level of development of science and clinical practice, set out accessible, compactly.

The textbook includes two parts: General and private issues of infectious pathology. The general part presents the classification of infectious diseases, the methods of their diagnosis, the principles of treatment and prevention. The fundamental theoretical foundations are given in a compressed, concise form or in the form of schemes, algorithms. The second part describes infectious diseases that the dentist is most often faced with. Particular attention is paid to the manifestations of the infectious process in the oropharynx, an emphasis is placed on the state of the mucous membrane of the oropharynx with an infectious disease with a detailed characteristic of the elements of the lesion. Separate nosological forms are considered according to a single unified plan. Control issues and test tasks are compiled taking into account professional labor functions (competencies) included in the Federal State Educational Standard of Higher Education in the field of preparation 31.05.03 “Dentistry”.

The publication is illustrated by drawings, schemes and tables. The textbook is intended for students of dental faculties of medical universities, as well as residents and practitioners.
