Introduction to archeology. Part 1. Zhebelev Sergey Aleksandrovich

Sergey Aleksandrovich Zhebelev (1867–1941)-Russian and Soviet philologist-classic, specialist in the field of ancient history, epigraphics, archeology and classical philology, academician of the USSR Academy of Sciences (1927). The author of numerous works on the history of Greece of the Hellenistic and Roman time, on archeology. “Introduction to archeology” was the first difficulty, which included a systematic presentation of archaeological history in the Russian language. The book was written on the basis of a course of lectures, which the author gave at the Historical and Philology Faculty of St. Petersburg University.
