The attention of readers is proposed to the book of an outstanding domestic zoologist, academician of the USSR Academy of Sciences M.A.Mensbra, containing the introductory course of zoology and comparative anatomy. The structure and reproduction of a living cell, the organization of simple animals are considered, the initial information about the organization of complex animals is given, and tissues of living organisms are described. A comparative anatomical outline of the organs of complex animals is represented, their reproduction and development is highlighted.
