Herbert George Wells (1866-1946) - English writer and publicist. From under his pen came the world-famous science fiction novels “Time Machine”, “Invisible Man”, “War of Worlds”.
"Invisible man" was first published in 1897. His hero, a talented student Griffin, is one of the most recognizable “evil geniuses” in world literature. It invents a device that can make a person invisible. After several experiments on a piece of fabric and a cat, Griffin decides to become the first invisible person in history. Wanting to cover the tracks, he breaks the device and burns his house.
Invisibility Griffin wanders around London, feeling superiority over other people. But soon such a life bothers him: he moves to the village of Iping, trying to build a new apparatus and return the former appearance...
“Time Machine”-Antiutopia Roman published in 1895. A time traveler goes to a distant 802 701 years. Morlocks and Eloi, who have lost human intelligence, that is who is now inhabiting the Earth. Not yet suspecting the existence of Morlocks, the traveler tries to make contact with Eloy and leaves the time machine. Morlocks, find it and transfer it to the podium of the White Sphinx. Can a traveler find her and return home?
