The book proposed is devoted to extremely important for specialists in the field of dentistry issues of diagnosis and the structure of the diagnosis of periodontal diseases and domestic and international classifications of periodontal diseases. Based on the general medical principles of the doctrine of nosology, the authors analyze the interpretation of nosological forms in periodontology, which are unified for other sections of dentistry. For the first time, this book presents a brief analytical review of both previously created and recently adopted domestic and international classifications. It is the general -human base, which underlies this work, allows the authors to argue not only positive, but also critical judgments regarding the classifications proposed to specialists, to highlight not only their advantages, but also the fairly controversial provisions of many of them.
