The collection includes three recalling novels about our recent past.

The first of them Panka tells readers about how ordinary hard workers lived in the early 1960s-those who lifted the country from the ruins after the Great Patriotic War, their unpretentious everyday joys and troubles, and Tom that people are in abundance next to them and as if they do not notice shameful poverty under their nose; In the center of the narrative is the tragedy of one worker from the first metro -strosts, kind and unpretentious.

The second story “Kalinka-Malinka” is a fascinating monologue of a young woman, a guide of an intourist of the seventies, opening a veil of “kitchen” working with foreign tourists in the Soviet Union in those years.

The third story “In Valentinovka, in the country” can be called sketching of one summer summer of the beginning of the fifties - but how many fate, characters, events will appear on this canvas! And most importantly, what bribes in all these works, simplicity and grace of presentation, as well as sincerity and cordiality, which is not so often found now.
