IV Purpure (Salix Purpurea) is a deciduous thin shrub. It is distinguished by strong branching. The bush can reach 1-4 meters in height. Most often, only a few varieties of purple willow are used for landscaping the territories that differ in a compact and spectacular crown.

The branches are painted in a reddish tint, while they have a thin raid of a red color on the surface. Over the years, shoots are stained in greenish-gray. This willow can decorate any landscape. Narrow elongated shapes are painted in a bluish-blue, greenish or greenish-silver tint. With the onset of the autumn period, the foliage replaces its color with a golden one. The brownish-red buds tightly pressed to the branches have an elongated shape and a length of about 50 mm. The color of the flower buds is yellow. During flowering, thick-flowered earrings are formed on the branches that have the shape of a cylinder. Their length is about 26–28 mm, and there are also pale red ants. The peculiarity of this variety is that at first inflorescences appear on the branches, and only then leaf plates are revealed.
