Jack Reacher comes to Margram with a mysterious but quite peaceful goal and... immediately gets to the police station. It turns out that in this quiet prosperous town the murder occurred for the first time in the last thirty years, and Rechcher was seen near the crime scene. His story does not make an impression on the investigator, so the detainee will still have to prove: he did not kill anyone, at least here and now, and besides, he is far from a newcomer in police matters. The town is becoming more and more alarming, brutal killings continue, and under the pressure of circumstances that suddenly become personal, Jack Reacher begins his own investigation, getting closer to the instigators of the scam of a grandiose scale.
