The January Sun is the fourth collection of poems by Maria Mironova. Its text developed mainly during the past eleven years, including some verses from earlier lyrics. This book is primarily about the increase in the soul and its clarification, that, no matter how it is fascinated by the beauty and inexhaustibility of the world calling to live according to its elements, the path requires choice and spiritual self -determination. The names of the sections reflect the direction of this movement to their depths: “From the storm of the equinox”, “On the side of the world”, “New Jerusalem”. The collection included three wreaths of the sonnets: “growing up”, “dawn”, “about love” - that turned out to be options for the author’s approaches to understanding the passed and, as a triptych, a kind of metaphorical autobiography; Two small poems - “From Family Prose” and “Travel to the Crimea”; Poems about Russia; Several cycles - “on the Holy Land”, “childhood”, “Italian cycle”, “Onegin and Tatyana, Pushkin and Natalie”, “alphabet” and others. The book completes a number of poems published in previous collections in the new edition.
