Joe Manson is not a hero.

He is only a thirteen -year -old boy who has a manual rat named Jack, a mother who is knocked out of his last strength to provide for his family, and diabetes guaranteeing him an insulin who, if not taking measures in time. And also a notebook with drawings, a room with a bunch of toys and a house full of memories. He is an ordinary teenager.

But this evening everything will change.

Joe will be in an incredible world, full of dangers, Mira, amazingly familiar, and at the same time not like anything. In this mysterious new world, stairs, corridors and doors of its large, dark house turn into mountains shrouded in fog, extensive spaces and impregnable gates on the way to unknown lands. Toys and manual rat are also transformed. And Joe himself becomes the long -awaited hero, the savior of the kingdom, the only one who is able to defeat the king of death and return the light.

Joe has no idea whether his path along the lands of the kingdom is real or is it hallucinations caused by a hypoglycemic shock. The only thing he is sure of the mission should be fulfilled, otherwise the first adventure of the Joe-Warvar will be the last.
