Johann Kabal, a scientist, a skeptic and a necromancer, on the run again, though this time he is pursued by government agents. Under someone else's name, he penetrates on board the Princess of Hortension, a passenger airship heading to another country. Kabal dreams of a calm journey without any incidents, but forced idleness and routine are badly affecting his plans. When one of the passengers dies on board and the circumstances of his death are thought of the murder, Kabal decides to engage in investigation. A closed space, a limited circle of suspects is a beautiful mystery for a bored person with an outstanding intelligence. Soon they attempt on the bondage, and then everything finally comes out of control. Massive destruction is inevitable, not to mention the resurrected dead.
