This book is rather a reinterpretation of the history of Joseph and the war, which he described, rather than the general introduction of the author or in the history of Palestine of the I century. n. e. Nevertheless, it is intended for both readers who are not specialists in this period and for specialists. So, although the arguments are fully supported by documents and, I hope, are proved, the texts of the sources are translated into English, and unfamiliar concepts, whether Greek, Roman or Jewish, are explained. Separate Greek, Hebrew and Aramaic words are transliterated in accordance with a simple, most often phonetic principle.
